Apple has long been expected to be reading the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro devices for a launch this coming September and now we might know which date that event will take place on.
With Apple traditionally announcing new models in September we can see previous release dates and make an educated guess as to what Apple’s plans might be. However, sources speaking to 9to5Mac are pointing to one date in particular — September 13.
Multiple sources familiar with the matter told 9to5Mac that mobile carriers have been asking employees not to take days off on September 13 due to a major smartphone announcement. While this doesn’t necessarily mean the launch is Apple-related, the company is known for holding its iPhone event in September.
If that is indeed what’s going to happen we should expect Apple to make the new iPhones available for pre-order on September 15 followed by the devices going on sale on September 22.
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max all at the same time although it’s possible that the Pro models could be in short supply. Reports suggest that production isn’t on track, but we’ll have to wait for Apple to make its announcements in a month or so’s time.
The same event is also expected to be when Apple will announce the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, making for quite the busy day.
