If you are looking for iPhone 14 Satellite connectivity feature in UK, India or any other country, here’s what you need to know.
Apple’s new iPhone 14 lineup will support the Emergency SOS via Satellite feature in November, but the feature will only be available in the United States and Canada.
At least at launch, with a new report claiming that the feature will be available everywhere in the future.
Apple reportedly told Swiss website MacPrime [Google Translate] that it intends to announce more country support for Emergency SOS via Satellite later this year, although it isn’t clear which countries or on what timescale. The report also claims that more countries will come online next year, too.
It stands to reason that Apple would want to make the Emergency SOS via Satellite feature available to as many people as possible and international support is surely in the cards eventually. Whether it will happen later this year, however, remains to be seen.
If the feature doesn’t release until November, Apple could presumably have also pre-announced other countries and their support, too.
The new iPhone 14 lineup goes on sale on Friday and features a raft of new features, although the Pro models are the most impressive. They feature an always-on display as well as a new 48-megapixel camera and the Dynamic Island. That feature is what replaces the notch while also acting as a new place for some notifications and alerts to appear, too.
