Apple could be getting ready to announce a new seventh-generation iPad mini before the end of the year, according to a new report.
Apple is already anticipated to release new iPads before 2024 rolls around with M3 versions of the iPad Pro almost a given at this point. But a new report centers on the iPad mini, suggesting multiple new Apple tablets are en route.
Writing in a series of tweets that references details about the upcoming Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, Twitter leaker ShrimpApplePro said that they had seen a suggestion that a new iPad would arrive this year. They went on to say that it will likely be the seventh-generation iPad mini, but they didn’t get into specifics.
Notably, this isn’t the first time that we’ve heard about an impending iPad mini refresh. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman pointed to a new spec-bumped model debuting before the end of the year while analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had suggested that mass production wouldn’t begin until the first quarter of 2024.
Only one of those things can be accurate of course, so we’ll wait with bated breath to see what the final few months of 2023 bring.
We can be pretty sure that those months will include the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models, with four new iPhones expected to be announced in September. The Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 are expected to arrive at the same time.
