iOS 8.1.1 Jailbreak TaiG v1.1.0 Is Out, Here’s How To Update Now

Since releasing its iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak tool some days ago, the TaiG team has continued to push swift updates, and following the recent introduction of English language support, TaiG v1.1.0 has just been rolled out. Details on what’s new, as well as the relevant download information, can be seen below.

If you’re not yet jailbroken but are considering doing so, then you should grab this latest version of TaiG for iOS 8.1.1 and check out the tutorials linked at the bottom of this article. If, however, you’ve already jailbroken via the TaiG tool, you’ll need to add the Chinese team’s official TaiG source and install one particular package.

As recommended in the release notes, the ‘TaiG 8.0-8.1.1 Untether’ repairs the issue with sandbox generating redundant information, and adding the TaiG source and installing the untether will enable you to reap the benefits of TaiG 1.1.0 without having to go through the process of re-jailbreaking.

Here’s how that’s done:

Step 1: Fire up Cydia, tap on the Sources tab, then tap on Edit > Add.

Step 2: Next, we’ll be adding TaiG’s official repository. This can be done by typing the following into the pop-up URL box:

http://apt.taig.com

Step 3: Once the repo has been added and all of the packages loaded, you may need to refresh, but thereafter, you’ll be able to run a search for ‘TaiG 8.0-8.1.1 Untether’.

Step 4: Finally, after locating the untether package, install it. Once the process has completed, reboot your device, and you’ll be completely up to date.

The complete changelog, as per TaiG, is as follows:

V1.1.0 (2014-12-05)

Avoid sandbox generate redundant info.

Officially built TaiG source(apt.taig.com), users who Jailbroke with TaiG before V1.1.0, can fix this problem by install TaiG 8.0-8.1.1 Untether.
