Apple’s annual Worldwide Developer Conference is only a matter of hours away and excitement within the mobile industry couldn’t be higher. Journalists, consumers and professional industry analysts are waiting with baited breath to see what the next twelve months hold for Apple, but more importantly waiting to see how Tim Cook and his team have decided to shape the future of iOS and OS X. As we count down the hours until Mr. Cook delivers the 2014 WWDC keynote, why not swallow up your time by mulling these iOS 8 and OS X 10.10 wallpapers inspired from WWDC banners hung for the big event at Moscone Center.
First up, we have a collection uploaded to DeviantArt by prominent designer ccard3dev. It includes iOS 8 and OS X 10.10 (rumored to be officially called OS X 10.10 Yosemite) wallpapers, inspired by the respective banners that currently adorn downtown San Francisco, for Mac, iPhone and iPad.
You can grab the iOS 8 WWDC banner wallpaper from here, and OS X 10.10 from here.
In addition to that impressive collection, there are a number of other developers offering minimal, iOS 8 inspired wallpapers for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users to download. Twitter user @SaleemUsama has been busy designing a number of iOS 8 wallpaper variants, with probably the best being his minimal "number 8" offering , which, once again, is available to download for free.
Last but not least, If changing wallpapers and sprucing up the home screen of your iOS device is your thing then it’s definitely worth downloading the AR7 wallpaper app that’s available directly from the App Store. Twitter user and designer @AR72014 is well known for his design work around the community and even has his own free app offering wallpapers. The wallpaper selection within the app has been updated to offer a beautifully simple and elegant iOS 8 option for those who are eager to adorn their devices in anticipation of the announcement. The app is free-of-charge and available directly from the App Store.
