iOS 18.3 Battery Life Drain Test: How Well Does It Perform?

Apple’s iOS 18.3 update is here, and as always, battery performance is a hot topic.

To see how it holds up, iAppleBytes ran detailed tests on popular iPhones, including the iPhone 15, 13, 12, 11, XR, and SE.

Each iPhone had a fresh install of iOS 18.3 and was given 24 hours to stabilize. Screen brightness was locked at 25%, and all devices were connected to the same Wi-Fi network for consistency.

The Geekbench Battery Test was used with two different modes:

  • Full Discharge Mode: Runs the battery from 100% to 0% for the most accurate results.
  • Partial Discharge Mode: Tests battery efficiency over a few hours, offering moderately reliable insights.

What the Scores Mean

Higher scores point to better performance and battery efficiency. Full discharge results are the most dependable, while partial tests give a good snapshot if run long enough.

The tests show how well iOS 18.3 manages battery life under intense usage. If you’re wondering whether the update affects your battery, these findings might help you decide whether to upgrade or hold off.
