Apple has confirmed iOS 18.3 / 18.4 release date today. Here are the details on this release.
Apple has started rolling out iOS 18.2 final version to public today. This release contains second-wave Apple Intelligence features such as ChatGPT integration, enhanced Siri, improved Writing Tools, Visual Intelligence for iPhone 16 series, Image Playground, Image Wand, Genmoji and more.
In a press release issued today announcing the availability of second-wave Apple Intelligence as part of iOS 18.2 release, the company also confirmed when the next-wave of Apple Intelligence features will be made available, with Apple giving April 2025 timeframe for that release.
Today, Apple Intelligence also begins language expansion with localized English support for Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.K., giving even more users around the world powerful new ways to use their iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Additional languages, including Chinese, English (India), English (Singapore), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese will be coming throughout the year, with an initial set arriving in a software update in April.
This April timeframe could mean either iOS 18.3 or iOS 18.4 coming with next-wave of AI features in Spring of 2025. What this also means is that Apple will start rolling out next developer beta of iOS 18.x end of this month, or the start of the next.
For those of you who don’t know, Apple initially promised Apple Intelligence coming as part of iOS 18.0 release but later broke it down into subset features coming as part of iOS 18.1, iOS 18.2, iOS 18.3, and 18.4 releases.
Should further developments arise, we will promptly inform you. We encourage you to stay tuned to us for more updates on this.
