Apple recently released iOS 18.1.1 on November 19, 2024, and as expected, has already been put to the test to see how it performs in terms of battery life.
The test devices were updated to the latest build and allowed to stabilize for 24 hours before running the test. iAppleBytes ensured minimal CPU activity and that no background processes were active to get accurate results.
Geekbench 4 was used to run the battery test with the display brightness set to 25% and auto-brightness disabled. All devices were configured identically and connected to the same access point. The test measures battery life by running processor-intensive applications, providing a consistent workload.
The results are based on the work done while the battery discharges and the time taken for this discharge. Full Discharge Mode was used, which provides high confidence in battery performance. The scores indicate that higher performance is directly related to better battery life.
