iOS 18.1 Jailbreak Status Update On iPhone

If you’re looking for iOS 18.1 jailbreak on iPhone now that the firmware is out, here’s everything you need to know about what’s the latest information available.

With iOS 18.1, Apple brings Apple Intelligence features for the first time to iPhone users, and while these AI features are only available for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, the firmware is also available for older devices albeit without AI features.

As for jailbreaking, it isn’t as popular now as it once used to be. The reason for this is that Apple has been making security of iOS stronger with each update, making it difficult for developers to find vulnerabilities that can be exploited for jailbreak use.

Another reason for the drop in popularity is Apple adding a lot of features to iOS over the years which were previously only possible to install via jailbreak tweaks. Having said that, some people still like to jailbreak for the freedom it provides and so for those people it’s important to know that currently there’s no jailbreak available for iOS 18.1.

For those of you with an iPhone X or older model which are jailbroken for life thanks to bootrom level exploit, you’re out of luck as well as those devices aren’t compatible with iOS 18.1 firmware, and hasn’t been for a couple of years now.

Most of the jailbreak devs have moved on as well so chances of a new jailbreak coming for newer devices running iOS 18.1 or later are bleak at the moment. The situation though can change anytime and when or if it does, we will of course be back with full updates on it.

For now, we will recommend you to just go ahead and update to iOS 18.1 and enjoy all the Apple Intelligence features that it brings with it.
