Looking for iOS 18.1 beta 4 download information and the expected release date? Here’s everything you need to know.
Apple’s release of the first developer beta for iOS 18.1 brought support for Apple Intelligence for the first time, and the subsequent betas brought with them some tweaks and improvements.
They also included a new Clean Up feature recently that allows people to remove objects from photos. We’re now waiting for what will be the fourth beta version of Apple’s iOS 18.1 iPhone software update, likely with yet more improvements in tow.
Apple has yet to confirm when it will release iOS 18.1 to the public, but we expect that it will happen in October or at the latest, November. Apple has been releasing new beta updates every couple of weeks but that will likely change to a weekly cadence once we get closer to the big release date.
With this all in mind, we expect that Apple will share the next beta for iOS 18.1 when it holds the iPhone 16 event on September 9. That’s also the date that we expect the Release Candidate version of iOS 18 will be shared, too.
If you’re interested in getting iOS 18.1 beta 3 on your iPhone right now, head over to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates section and then make sure you select iOS 18.1 Developer Beta option. You’ll of course need to have an active developer account and be signed into that account for this option to become available.
Once that is done, go back to Settings > General > Software Update section and wait for it to load the OTA update install prompt. Once that option appears, simply tap on “Download and install” button to begin downloading and installing the 18.3 beta software.
