Looking for iOS 18.1 beta 2 download and expected release date? Here’s everything you need to know.
Apple’s release of the first developer beta for iOS 18.1 brought support for Apple Intelligence for the first time, and the upcoming second beta is expected to bring improvements and tweaks to that particular feature.
We can then expect multiple beta releases over the coming weeks ahead of a public release to the public towards the end of this year. However, even then, we can expect the Apple Intelligence launch to remain a beta even when it’s made available to the public.
If Apple sticks to a familiar release pattern we should expect that it will release the second beta of the iOS 18.1 software to developers on Monday, August 12th. Apple is also running an iOS 18 beta alongside this iOS 18.1 beta and we should expect that to be made available to the public this September alongside the release of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro.
If you’re interested in getting iOS 18.1 beta 1 on your iPhone, head over to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates section and then make sure you select iOS 18.1 Developer Beta option.
Once that is done, go back to Settings > General > Software Update section and wait for it to load the OTA update install prompt. Once that option appears, simply tap on “Download and install” button to begin downloading and installing the 18.1 beta software.
