Here are iOS 18.1 beta 1 release notes, bugs, features and known issues that you as an iPhone or iPad user need to know about.

Apple just rolled out the first beta of iOS 18.1 to registered developers, and it’s packed with some intriguing features and a few quirks. Here are the known bugs, features, and known issues so far as Apple tells us.

This particular release comes at a time where iOS 18 is still in a testing phase at beta 4. The biggest change with iOS 18.1 is Apple Intelligence; Apple’s first foray into AI for the iPhone which is now available to developers across the world.

Apple Intelligence packs some powerful features such as the Writing Tools which enables you to rewrite, proofread, and summarize text in apps such as Notes, Mail, Pages etc. This also works with third-party apps as well.

Photos has also been injected with Apple’s new AI tech, allowing users to search for photos using natural language. More so, you can also search for moments in a video clip using search.

There’s plenty more going on with iOS 18.1, like Genmoji, Image Playground etc. For a complete list of changes, improvements, and known bugs, check out the complete changelog below.
