iOS 18 Final Version Has An Official Release Date

We now finally know iOS 18 final version release date after months of waiting since it was announced at WWDC in June. And you won’t have to wait too much longer.

Apple confirmed the final release date for iOS 18 as part of its big September 9 iPhone 16 event, an event that also saw the company release the iOS 18 Release Candidate beta to developers for final testing.

Assuming that no issues are discovered, we can expect that the RC will also be the version of iOS 18 that is released to the public, too.

As for when iOS 18 will be available for iPhone owners to download, Apple has confirmed that it will be released on Monday, September 16. That means that the wait is almost over.

The iOS 18 update will bring with it a number of new improvements including additional Home Screen customization options and more. But the biggest thing that Apple announced at WWDC, the Apple Intelligence AI features, won’t be available on September 16. Instead, iPhone owners will have to wait for Apple to release iOS 18.1 to the public — and we don’t yet know when that will happen. Even then, Apple Intelligence will carry a Beta label as Apple continues to tweak its big upgrades to Siri, Photos, Mail, Messages, and more.

The iOS 18 update will of course come preinstalled on all iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro handsets when they reach Apple stores later in September.
