Looking to get iOS 18 beta 5 download’s expected release date info? Here’s what you need to know as an iPhone or iPad user who wants to install the next big beta release.
When Apple announced the iOS 18 software update during the WWDC opening keynote on June 10, the company immediately released the first developer beta for installation on test devices.
Since then, we’ve seen plenty of updated beta releases including a new public beta program. Here’s when we expect that the fifth beta will be released to developers too.
Apple has so far released its new beta updates every two weeks which means that the fifth beta is likely to arrive two weeks after the fourth landed on July 23. That means that assuming Apple sticks to its usual beta pattern, we can expect beta 5 to be released to developers on August 6. We should also expect that the next public beta release will come a day or two later as well.
It’s as-yet unclear whether this next beta release will include support for Apple Intelligence, the biggest feature of the iOS 18 update. It’ll launch in a beta of its own this September, but there have so far been no Apple Intelligence features in the previous iOS 18 beta updates.
Beyond the betas, Apple is expected to release iOS 18 final version to the public this September after a months-long beta process. That release will also likely be timed to come just days before the release of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, too.
