iOS 18 Beta 4: Release Notes, Bugs, Features And Known Issues

Here are iOS 18 beta 4 release notes including known bugs, features, changes, and known issues coming straight from Apple.

After making the first iOS 18 beta available to registered developers immediately following the WWDC opening event on June 10, Apple released the subsequent updates to the same group of people every two weeks. We’re now up to beta four while there is also a public beta program running alongside the developer one.

Apple’s progress through the iOS 18 beta programs means that the update is getting closer than ever to being released to the republic. That isn’t expected to happen until September, and this new beta version brings with it a few tweaks and changes compared to the third beta from two weeks ago.

As is always the case, Apple has shared detailed release notes for this iOS 18 beta 4 update and it’s well worth checking out. The release notes detail which tweaks have been made, which issues have been resolved and any new issues that have been created. If you’re developing an app for iOS 18 or testing an older app, it’s vital o know which APIs and features are available and whether any bugs should be expected.

This update can of course be downloaded via the Software Update mechanism within the Settings app.

The iOS 18 update is going to bring with it tons of new features including the beta version of Apple Intelligence when it ships this fall. It’ll also be the software that comes preinstalled on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, too.
