iOS 18 AI Suite Could Be Called ‘Apple Intelligence’

With WWDC just around the corner, more and more details regarding iOS 18 and the AI features Apple will be packing inside of it, are coming through. According to a report by Mark Gurman, Apple will be marketing these as ‘Apple Intelligence’.

The Mac-maker has been said to working on some major AI features that it plans to launch with iOS 18. Some reports talk about AI text summarization features, with some talking about upgrades that will summarize all notifications received on the phone.

There’s plenty more, but a plethora of new exciting features would require an equally exciting marketing move as well. In Apple’s case, as always, it has kept it pretty simple; Apple Intelligence. An acronym for AI? Of course not but given how it just settles into its own, Apple is onto something here.

Apple Intelligence will also infuse generative AI into iOS 18 which as reported earlier, could allow iPhones to create new emojis based on what you’re typing. Further improvements to Siri are also in the works, along with some AI photo editing features as well.

It has been reported that Apple Intelligence may require an iPhone 15 Pro or later to work, considering the neural network required for some features to work.

Whether older device owners end up with no AI features at all, remains to be seen, but for now though, the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup is gearing up to debut with some really exciting AI suite.
