With the release of iOS 17.4.1, iPhone users can anticipate improvements in battery life drain management, addressing concerns over previous drain issues.
Apple’s iOS 17.4.1 update is the latest and most advanced version of iOS that you can install on an iPhone right now while Apple is working its way through a developer beta program for the iOS 17.5 release.
And while we’d always suggest that people install the latest versions of iOS as a matter of course, some people might wonder just how this update performs in terms of battery life.
This update has been available for a little while now but if you’ve been holding off updating while you get a feel for how the battery life will perform, now, we have an answer.
That answer comes via the iAppleBytes YouTube channel which has a history of sharing these kinds of videos and you can check it out below. The update was installed on a series of devices and given eight full days to settle down before any kind of tests were run.
We won’t spoil things for you because the video is well worth checking out, but the bad news is that anyone who has suffered from battery issues so far should probably not expect anything to change after installing IOS 17.4.1.
With iOS 17.5 on the way, we can only hope that the battery life situation will be improved for people who need their iPhone to last longer. It isn’t yet clear when iOS 17.5 will make its debut, but it’s likely to arrive within the next few weeks.
