Here’s iOS 17 release notes, changelog and all features in one place for iPhone and iPad users.
Apple’s iOS 17 is finally here and there are plenty of new features for people to take in. Apple has shared the full changelog for this big release and you can read it here.
The iOS 17 update was announced at WWDC on June 5 and it’s been in beta testing ever since. That beta program is now at an end and with iOS 17 available to everyone who wants it, you’re probably wondering what new features you should be keeping an eye out for.
Apple’s release notes have the full rundown on what’s new from the very best feature to some that you might never use. But there are some that are worth taking note of, including a new Live Voicemail feature that will put a live transcription of a caller’s message right on your iPhone.
Other notable features include Contact Posters, a feature that takes over the iPhone’s entire screen when a new call arrives allowing people to customize what appears. “Decide how you show up when you give people a call with a customized poster that includes various treatments for photos, Memoji, and your name,” Apple explains. “With Name & Photo Sharing for Contacts turned on, your Contact Poster will be shared automatically with your contacts.”
Perhaps the biggest new feature is StandBy. With StandBy enabled users can turn their iPhone into a clock, photo viewer, or widget-laden information screen so long as it’s charging and in landscape mode.
All of this and more is now available as part of the iOS 17 update. We’d suggest installing it as soon as possible and reading Apple’s full changelog to get the lowdown on what to expect.
