Looking for iOS 17 beta 2 download and expected release date? Here’s what you need to know.
Apple’s iOS 17 beta 2 update is on the horizon, so when can you expect it to be available for download on your iPhone?
It’s often difficult to try and figure out exactly when we can look forward to new updates being made available, and that’s especially the case when it comes to betas that are this early on in an update’s development cycle.
However, the first iOS 17 beta was released on June 5 shortly after the WWDC 2023 opening keynote. We didn’t see a new beta drop on Monday, June 12 and we perhaps didn’t expect there to be one anyway. While Apple will eventually release betas on a weekly basis, the early weeks of iOS 17 are likely to see releases every two weeks while Apple gets to work on fixing the problems that have been reported.
With that in mind, we expect that Apple will release iOS 17 beta 2 to developers on Monday, June 19, with the next beta likely to arrive a couple of weeks later depending on how the beta program progresses. If not on June 19, then Apple will likely release it on June 26, three weeks after the first beta was released.
Apple isn’t expected to release the iOS 17 update to the world until much later in the year, likely in or around September. That’s the software that will power the iPhone 15 lineup when it goes on sale around the same time, too.
This September is also expected to see the release of the updated Apple Watches as well.
