Looking for iOS 17 beta 1 OTA update download? Here’s how to install it on iPhone the right way.
Apple’s iOS 17 update has finally been announced alongside the first betas of watchOS 10, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, and macOS 14 and now you can download the very first developer beta.
That developer beta is only available to those who are registered developers of course, but assuming that’s you, you can start taking Apple’s latest and greatest release for a spin.
Unlike previous betas iOS 17 requires that you are actually registered as a developer, however. There are no profiles to install and instead Apple checks that your Apple ID is registered on its developer program. Assuming yours is, here’s how to get that iOS 17 beta 1 release installed.
Step 1: Open the Settings app and choose General followed by Software Update.
Step 2: Tap Beta Updates.
Step 3: Change the Apple ID that is configured if needed. It can be different from the one you’re using as your main iPhone Apple ID so long as it’s registered on Apple’s developer program.
Step 4: Select the iOS 17 Developer Beta.
Step 5: Return to the Software Update screen and choose Download and Install. Enter your passcode if prompted and agree to the Terms & Conditions.
That’s all there is to it. After a restart, you’ll be running the very first iOS 17 beta!
