iOS 16.4 jailbreak is now possible on select devices thanks to latest Palera1n update. Here’s everything you need to know.
Apple has only just made the first iOS 16.4 beta available to developers but that hasn’t stopped jailbreak developers from getting busy. Now, the Palera1n jailbreak has been updated to add support for iOS 16.4 as well as deal with a few fixes here and there.
The Palera1n jailbreak is compatible with all iPhones and iPads running older A11 Bionic and lower chips, but it’s also a semi-tethered jailbreak which means that it isn’t going to be for everyone. However, a new update does add support for Apple’s latest iOS 16.4 release even though it hasn’t yet been made public.
That of course isn’t the only change in this Palera1n version 1.4.2 release. There are other changes including various bug fixes and tweaks to other aspects of the jailbreak itself.
If you’re keen to install iOS 16.4, this is the jailbreak update you’ve been waiting for. But remember that you’ll need to have an iPhone X or older or one of the iPads running Apple’s A9 through A11 chips.
While jailbreaking isn’t as popular as it once was, there are still some who like to hack their iPhones and iPads. But for most, many of the reasons they previously jailbroke have now been dealt with by Apple including multitasking, widgets, and more.
If you do choose to go the jailbreak route, do remember that there are risks involved and make sure that you have all of your data backed up just in case.
