Looking for the iOS 16 beta 7 download and release date? Here’s when Apple is expected to release it to iPhone and iPad users based on previous release patterns.
Apple is getting closer to the big release of the iOS 16 update with a public availability expected within the next few weeks.
We’re still expecting to see a beta or two before that happens, however, with iOS 16 beta 6 having been released earlier this week. Now, attention has turned to when we can expect the seventh beta to arrive and, all being well, we expect that to happen in just a matter of days.
With Apple having released iOS 16 beta 6 on Monday, August 15, we expect the seventh release to happen on Monday, August 22. Apple tends to release these updates every two weeks for the most part, but that shrinks to every week once we get closer to the big release. That’s what’s happening now.
The iOS 16 update will bring improvements to Messages, Mail, and more, but the big addition will be the customizable Lock Screen and widgets. Apple is expected to release the update alongside a new range of iPhones with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max making use of a new always-on display that will be powered by that new iOS 16 Lock Screen.
Apple has more to announce in September, with the new Apple Watch Series 8 just one of three new Apple Watches expected to be announced before the month comes to an end.
