Whenever Apple releases a new iOS update there is the obvious question on everyone’s lips — how does this new update impact performance?
It’s something people with newer iPhones likely’ don’t need to worry about, but those with older devices might have a genuine concern. That’s what these videos by iAppleBytes are here to help with — should people update, or not?
The latest video pits iOS 15.1 up against other releases across a number of devices; iPhone SE, iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XR, and iPhone 11. And yes, there are performance benchmarks thrown in for good measure, too.
Apple released iOS 15.1 yesterday so time to do a Speed Test video. I have not done any videos on iOS 15.1 beta versions as they have been released when I was busy with something else. Actually I am considering NOT to Speed Tests for beta version as the views are low, I am at the moment thinking of maybe focusing on other videos. But the verdict is still not out on that one yet. I will of course also put out a battery test video, you should expect to see that in a few days. I will let iOS 15.1 settle in for a few days before shooting it. But it will come soon.
You can watch the full test to see the outcome for yourself, but the gist is simple — you should probably install iOS 15.1 without too many concerns no matter which device you’re running.
