Apple will likely announce iOS 15 during next month’s WWDC opening keynote and we’re beginning to hear rumors about what we could see as part of the update. Now, an unverified source has told ConnorJewiss of MakeUseOf.com that we could see food tracking as part of iOS 15.
Jewiss says he has seen the iPhone update and that it includes changes to the Health app that includes support for food tracking for the first time.
While the Health app already has support for some nutritional value tracking, that information comes from third-party apps like MyFitnessPal and LoseIt. Now, if this rumor is correct, we’re on the verge of Apple adding similar food tracking capabilities to the Health app.
The same report suggests that iOS 15 will also include unspecified changes to the way iOS handles dark mode as well as tweaks to the Messages app.
A new notification management system is also rumored, with lock screen improvements that could offer widgets or Apple Watch-like complications.
Apple will hold its WWDC opening keynote on June 7 and it’s then that we expect the company to announce iOS 15 ahead of its release in or around September. We’ll be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for more information leaking out before that happens.
