iOS 15 Allows You To Disable Night Mode In iPhone Camera

Apple’s upcoming iOS 15 update for iPhones will give users the chance to disable Night Mode for the first time.

Night Mode allows iPhones to capture images in almost total darkness, but there are times where people might want to disable it — and this fall, an option will make that possible.

While the feature was always able to be disabled for a particular photo, it was automatically re-enabled the next time the Camera app was opened. With iOS 15, users will be able to completely disable the feature across all photos they take.

The change was first noted by 9to5Mac, and disabling Night Mode is really easy once you know how.

Go to Settings app
Tap Camera section
Tap Preserve Settings
Turn on the toggle for Night Mode

Now, turning off Night Mode for a single shot will mean that the setting is preserved throughout the Camera app, even if you restart your iPhone.

All being well Apple is expected to announce new iPhones and make iOS 15 available to the public at some point next month. The iPhone 13 lineup is now rumored to launch in the third week of September and we’d expect Apple to release iOS 15 around the same time.
