iOS 14, iPadOS 14 Public Beta 1 Download Release Date Along With PB1 Of macOS 11, tvOS 14, watchOS 7 Set For July

The iOS 14 / iPadOS 14 Public beta 1 download release date along with public beta 1 of macOS 11, watchOS 7 and tvOS 14 has been announced. Here are the details.

Now that Apple’s first online-only WWDC is underway we’re starting to get answers to some of the questions we’ve been asking in recent weeks. Not least, when will people be able to get their hands on the new betas that Apple showed off during its opening keynote. And now we know.

If you’re a developer, you’re good to go already. You can download the first developer beta of the updates from the Apple Developer Portal and install it at will. We’d always suggest installing these things on spare devices because, well, these first beta releases are always problematic.

If you’re not a developer, you’re going to have to wait a little while before you can get your beta on. That’s probably a good thing, too. As we just said, those early betas don’t tend to be great and the public beta tends to arrive after a couple have been been in the hands of developers.

That said, members of the public beta programs will be able to get in on their new beta fun within the next few weeks in July. It could be worth the wait as well – there’s plenty to look forward to in iOS 14, macOS 11, watchOS 7 and tvOS 14.
