Looking for the iOS 14 and PadOS 14 Golden Master (GM) release date for iPhone and iPad devices? Here’s when we expect Apple to release both updates to developers and those on the public beta program.
Following weeks of betas for both developers and those who are part of the public beta program, it’s only a matter of time before the final beta – the Golden Master or GM – is made available to developers.
This is likely the same build of iOS and iPadOS that will be made available to everyone and it’s essentially the same update. But when will it arrive?
While we don’t know for sure, we can make a calculated guess. Apple has a special event planned for next Tuesday, September 15 and if Apple follows its normal schedule, the GM will arrive shortly after that event comes to a close. So here’s when we think you should keep your eyes open.
Tuesday, September 15 around 12am Pacific Time
From then on it’s likely going to be a couple of weeks or so before the update is made available to the world. We aren’t expecting iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models to ship with iOS 14 installed, but rather iOS 14.0.1 or similar. With that in mind, Apple won’t likely need to hold the update for the arrival of new iPhones in October.
There’s nothing else we can do now but wait.
