Apple currently has iOS 13.2 working its way through the beta process with developers having had it in-hand for a couple of weeks now. But when will everyone else get to take it, and the new emoji that it will add, for a spin? Pretty soon, probably.
The reason for that is the upcoming Beats Solo Pro headphones.
They’re available to order now but won’t be in the hands of buyers until October 30th. Which is fine, except the Apple Store entry for the new headphones says that some features require iOS 13.2 in order to function.
From what we can see features like being able to open the headphones and have them power on and pair will need iOS 13.2, which means nobody will be able to use that feature if Apple ships the headphones before the software. And that would be a problem.
Because of that we expect iOS 13.2 to ship to users by October 30th – in time for everyone to update before their new headphones arrive.
There are plenty of reasons why people should look forward to iOS 13.2 even if they aren’t picking up some new Beats Solo Pro, though. Not only are there tons of new emojis arriving via the update but Apple’s Deep Fusion is, too. If you’re using an iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro, you want that update.
So with all that said, we expect iOS 13.2 to arrive within days. Whether or not we’re right, we’ll just have to wait to find out.
