Images Of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Leaked, Shows Off 3 Color Options

If you’re the type of consumer who simply can’t contain their excitement, or wait patiently until manufacturers officially announce a new product, then a recently posted tweet from Evan Blass of @evleaks has revealed Samsung’s plans for its next “phablet” installment.

Given the current time of year that we find ourselves in it was only a matter of when leaks of the Galaxy Note 7 would start appearing, rather than if. As usual, Blass is right on point with the goodies, showing us not only what the Note 7 will look like, but also highlighting the three color options that it will be made available in once released.

Manufacturers tend to offer as much variation as possible in modern smartphones when it comes to the aesthetics involved. Devices can’t be pushed to the market with unlimited variations, but it’s a modern – only fair – trend to offer flagship devices in at least a few multiple colors, something that will also happen with the Galaxy Note 7 as well.

Blass’ tweet shows three Note 7 color variations, meaning that Samsung’s next flagship phablet will be available in Black Onyx, Silver Titanium, and Blue Coral.

The color options for the Galaxy Note 7 don’t really come as any great surprise, but what is interesting is Blass’ earlier reveal via Twitter that supposedly “confirmed” that Samsung’s next flagship phablet would be known as the Galaxy Note 7, a naming convention that essentially means the South Korean company will jump straight from the Note 5 directly to the Note 7.

The supposed reason being that Samsung want to ensure that there isn’t a generational naming difference across its flagship series of devices. Introducing this device as the Note 7 would mean that the company also has the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge out in the same calendar year, ensuring unity and convergence going forward.

As is always the case, we won’t actually know what the final production Galaxy Note 7 will look like until Samsung officially unveils it, but knowing what we know about Blass, and what we know about Samsung’s marketing material and presentation style, it would be a fairly safe bet to suggest that the shared images are an accurate representation of what consumers will be able to buy later this year.

Blass has previously suggested that he expects the Galaxy Note 7 with an integrated iris scanner, a 5.7-inch QHD SAMOLED display, 64GB onboard storage expandable with a microSD card, IP68 ingress protection from water, and a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel rear-camera. We’ll find out more about this as we approach a fall release.
