Did you ever wish to have HTC Sense –like home screen with widgets from HTC Hero and HTC HD2 right on your iPhone? SmartScreen App is set to bring such an experience on your iPhone and iPod touch that will allow informational widgets to be placed and used on the lock screen.
About a couple of months ago, Dev-Team tweeted about this new application which would allow iPhone users to place multiple informational widgets on the lock screen of the iPhone and iPod touch. While using the icon moving “wiggle” feature, the widgets can be moved around on the screen just like you can do on HTC Hero or HD2 with Sense UI. The best thing about these little widgets is that they’ll enable you to access essential information, without having to actually launch any application. You can comfortably rearrange these widgets in the same way as you move icons around. SmartScreen was promised by Dev Team to be available in November to users with jailbroken devices.
Here is SmartScreen App in action on a jailbroken iPhone:
SmartScreen will be available via Cydia on 20th November. It will be available for download in two versions – lite and full. Lite version will have some limitations, and full will be available for a mere $5. The application is said to support all iPhones (2G/3G/3GS) and iPod touches, as long as they are jailbroken on iPhone 3.1.x firmware.
