Here’s how to play Xbox Cloud Gaming on Amazon Fire TV Stick as part of Xbox Game Pass subscription.
After announcing it last month, Microsoft has today made the Xbox TV app available for download on a select number of Amazon Fire TV Stick devices which in turn means that people can play Xbox games more easily.
The Xbox TV app brings access to the Xbox Cloud Gaming service, allowing subscribers to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription service to stream games over the internet using their Fire TV Stick device.
At launch, the Xbox TV app will only be available for download on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023+) and Fire TV Stick 4K (2023+), and the app will be the same as the one that is already available on some Samsung TVs and displays.
Streaming Xbox games will simply require a compatible Fire TV Stick and a compatible Bluetooth wireless controller, such as Xbox wireless controller, assuming that you have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription already.
Right now there are only a select number of games available for streaming, but Microsoft is working to add more games for streaming via the Xbox app including those that are not part of the Xbox Game Pass library.
This move means that gamers will be able to play their Xbox games on TVs around the home without needing to move their Xbox to a different TV, assuming that they have a solid internet connection and a strong WiFi connection.
