How To Fix AirPods Max Disconnecting And Reconnecting Issue

Here’s how to fix AirPods Max disconnecting and reconnecting issue the easy and right way.

The AirPods Max are the best and flagship AirPods that Apple makes, and they look as good as they sound. But they are expensive, which means that you don’t want to rush out and buy a new pair every time they stop working.

That’s why it’s important to have a fix when it’s needed, and we have a way to fix an issue that causes AirPods Max to disconnect seemingly at random.

The AirPods Max are like any other AirPods in that they aren’t perfect, and that means that there can be issues at times and one issue we’ve seen reported is the issue that causes the AirPods Max to randomly disconnect and then reconnect. Other issues include one earcup not working when the other one is, too.

If that’s something that you’re dealing with, here’s how to get things back up and running.

Step 1: Take the AirPods Max’s magnetic ear pads off.

Step 2: You should see a tiny hole in the middle at the top of each ear cup. You can put a SIM eject tool into that hole to release the headband and remove that side of the AirPods Max. Repeat the same step on the other side.

Step 3: Check the connector for any dirt or grime. We’ve heard reports of corrosion on the connector which can cause connectivity issues.

Step 4: Clean the connector with isopropyl alcohol or some other non-conductive cleaning solution. Make sure the connector is completely dry before proceeding.

Step 5: Install the headband back onto the AirPods Max. Make sure the SIM eject tool is still inside the hole when you trying to put this back together.

Hopefully that will get you back up and running without any of the issues you’ve been experiencing.
