Here’s how to get weather status for your location to show in your Mac menu bar running macOS Sequoia or later.
Starting with macOS Sequoia, Apple has added the ability to put weather conditions of your local region in Mac menu bar. This ability was added back in June with beta 2 of macOS Sequoia and today we are going to show you how to enable it for your Mac.
So, without any further ado, here’s how you can add weather status to your Mac’s menu bar natively without having to use any third-party app to achieve this functionality.
Step 1: Open “System Settings” on the Mac.
Step 2: Scroll down to “Control Center” section.
Step 3: Under Control Center options, scroll down to find “Menu Bar Only” section, under which you will find Weather.
Step 4: Here simply select “Show in Menu Bar” option to enable whether in menu bar.
Now if you click on it, it will show a nice overlay interface which will show more information on weather such as forecast for your current city, as well as any other location you may set in the Weather app on Mac.
Here’s to hoping Apple adds even more functionality to Mac menu bar in future iterations of macOS.
