Just a few days ago, we posted a detailed step-by-step guide on how to enable HD video recording on iPhone 3GS. The entire process was – let’s just say – rather tedious. And I say tedious only because enabling HD video on 3GS now is as simple as installing a tweak.
It’s called “HD Video Enabler for 3GS” and it claims to, well, enable HD video. We haven’t tested this ourselves yet, but it does sound like a legitimate workaround to the complicated tinkering in our guide. Do let us know in the comments section if you check it out!
You will, of course, need to have a jailbroken iPhone to install it. Follow our step by step guide posted here to jailbreak your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with Limera1n or GreenPois0n if you haven’t already.
You can get the tweak for free from Cydia under BigBoss repository. Once you have downloaded it, simply activate it from Winterboard app.
