Ever wondered how could you download your favorite videos from Youtube to your iPhone or iPod Touch? The built-in Youtube app on the iPhone does a great job at streaming videos but it doesnt allow you to download videos from the Youtube server.
This is where MxTube comes in to the play, which features the ability to both stream and download videos from Youtube to your iPhone. And best of all, its FREE!
The interface for searching videos is very similar to the built-in Youtube app.
When you click on the video, you are given the option to Stream or Download it. Click on the Download button to download the video.
Videos can be download in both higher and lower quality. You can even convert the downloaded video into your favorite format.
The “Downloads” tab will show you the progress of the videos you are downloading. You can even download multiple videos at a time.
Downloaded videos can be played later from the “Videos” tab.

MxTube is free and can be installed from “Cydia”. You will need to have a jailbroken iPhone to install MxTube from “Cydia” store.
UPDATE 1: The development of MxTube has been seized. “YourTube” is a better alternate as it integrates well into the built-in Youtube app on the iPhone.
