Here’s how to download and install iOS 18 final version on your compatible iPhone or iPad ahead of the September 16 release.
Apple already released iOS 18 RC after months of beta testing and releases. App developers and members of the beta / public beta program have been testing iOS 18 since it was announced at the WWDC event in June, and the RC version is likely to be same as the final build that will be released to the public this coming 16th.
To get iOS 18 RC (likely the final version) up and running on your iPhone, you will have to head over to beta.apple.com and sign up for Apple Beta Software Program with your Apple Account.
Once that is done, updating is as simple as can be via the Settings app.
Step 1: Simply launch the Settings app, and head over to General > Software Update.
Step 2: Tap ‘Beta Updates’ followed by selecting ‘iOS 18 Public Beta’.
Step 3: Once you go back, you should see iOS 18 OTA update available to download and install. Hit the ‘Update Now’ button and wait patiently for the update to complete as it could take a while.
Remember September 16 is when Apple will be releasing iOS 18 publicly as an OTA as well as the IPSW files.
