Here’s how you can download and get Google Earth Pro membership absolutely free. Head on past the jump for more details and complete step-by-step guide.
Google Earth is that one tool which is probably as invaluable as the Big G’s search engine, giving us incredible and convenient ways of surfing through our globe with real satellite imagery. Powerful indeed, and free while at it, did you know that there’s a Pro version of Google Earth that has been around for years as well? Access to it costs a whopping $399 per year, and is meant for business / enterprise users. And today we’ll show you how you can grab that ‘Pro’ membership absolutely free.
Step 1: Head over to the Google Earth Pro download page here.
Step 2: Here you will be asked if you wish to download the latest (7.1) or an earlier version (7.0). Once you’ve made your choice, hit the big blue ‘Agree and Download’ button to begin downloading the Google Earth Pro setup file.
Step 3: Now run the Google Earth Pro setup file to install it on your PC or Mac.
Step 4: Here’s where the magic is. You will now be prompted for a ‘Username’ and ‘License key’. If you don’t know the License key by now, you’re not much observant. Google has listed the free license key on the download page and it’s “GEPFREE“. Enter in your Gmail ID for the Username, and use the free license key in the License Key field.
Step 5: You can enable automatic login and also make sure that the app runs for all user accounts on your PC if you wish, and once done, simply hit the ‘Log In’ button to start off with Google Earth Pro.
The Pro version offers some powerful features including high resolution printing, spreadsheet imports, Windows Media and QuickTime HD movie exports from tours, advanced measurements, and much more. As you can tell, these are all functions that not everyone is likely to use, except for entertainment’s sake, and well now that it’s free, why not.
