Here’s What To Expect From Apple At ‘It’s Glowtime’ September 9 Event

Apple announced yesterday that it will hold its annual September event on September 9, and while it didn’t go so far as to explain what the “It’s Glowtime” event will entail, we think we probably have a good idea.

These events normally see the launch of new iPhones and Apple Watches, and September 9 is unlikely to be any different.

With that in mind, here’s what you can probably look forward to being announced on September 9.

iPhone 16 & iPhone 16 Pro

The biggest announcements will no doubt be Apple’s iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max devices all of which have been heavily rumored. We expect bigger displays on the Pro models and A18 chips across the entire lineup, ready to power iOS 18.1 and Apple Intelligence.

The iPhone 16 Pro is also set to get a 5x telephoto lens for the first time, while a new Capture Button is also expected to be added to all four models.

Apple Watch Series 10 & Apple Watch Ultra 3

Very little is known about what the 2024 Apple Watches will look like, but we can expect a relatively minor revision in terms of the new Apple Watch Ultra. Things could be more interesting in the world of the Apple Series 10 (or Apple Watch X) as Apple gets ready to celebrate a decade of smartwatches.

AirPods 4

Rumors have so far suggested that Apple will announce two different versions of the AirPods 4, one with more advanced features than the other. They won’t replace the AirPods Pro though, with an updated model still expected in the future.

New Software Updates

As Apple readies iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and a number of other big platform updates, we expect the company will have Release Candidate betas ready to go soon. Those RC updates will be the final version of these software releases before they are made available to the later in September.
