Hands-On With iPhone 6 Case; Comparison With iPhone 5s, Galaxy Note 3, Nexus 5 [VIDEO]

The first thing that jumps out at us when watching the video is how the claimed iPhone 6 case looks suspiciously similar in size and shape to a Nexus 5, which should give people a better idea of what the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 could look like if it is indeed real. As with other larger smartphones, the iPhone 6 appears to have a side-mounted sleep/wake button too, which is a departure from the norm for Apple after placing that switch on the top of the iPhone ever since its inception. The new placement is right where a right-handed user's thumb would sit, which makes plenty of sense to us.

Another feature of the case is that it's very thin indeed, which obviously means that whatever is meant to go inside it is going to be equally as svelte. Rumors are already circulating that the larger of the two new iPhone models will be in short supply thanks to a battery shortage caused by its lack of thickness, fitting in nicely with what this leaked case would have us believe the new iPhone will look like.

It's obviously entirely possible that this case is the product of a manufacturer that is basically guessing at what the new iPhone will be like, but given the fact that these case leaks tend to be right on the money and that Apple does give schematics to case makers in advance of a new iPhone announcement, we wouldn't be at all surprised if this case turns out to be spot on.

As time rolls on and we get very closer to the inevitable iPhone 6 announcement, speculation is beginning to grow about what the brand new iPhone will look like, and what key features it will bring to Apple’s product line. The current best bet scenario is that Apple will bring two new iPhones to market, one packing a 4.7-inch screen and another sporting a larger 5.5-inch display. It’s that larger device that is making all the headlines right now though, thanks to an apparently leaked iPhone 6 case that seems to fit very well with the larger iPhone claims that have been prevalent for some time now.

Having managed to get hold of a supposed iPhone 6 case, YouTube channel UnboxTherapy has done the only thing any self respecting YouTube video slinger can do, and that’s compare it with some other popular smartphones; the iPhone 5s, Nexus 5 and Samsung’s mammoth Galaxy Note 3.
