Apple today has unveiled the next generation of their iPod lineup at “It’s only rock and roll, but we like it” event in San Francisco. Steve Jobs who hosted the event announced the new iPod touch 3G, much to the disappointment of all the fans who were expecting a built-in camera for the new iPod touch. The 3rd-gen iPod touch is almost exactly similar to the last generation model except for more speed and storage options with a smaller price tag.
iPod nano got the most updates, the biggest addition being camera with video recording capabilities, microphone, speaker, 2.2-inch display and FM Radio. iPod classic and iPod shuffle also got minor upgrades. Engadget has posted exclusive hands-on videos for iPod touch 3G and iPod Nano 5G which I have attached below for your viewing pleasure.

The final version of iPhone OS 3.1 firmware and iTunes 9 were also announced at the event.
All the new iPod devices start shipping today at the Apple Store.
