GT-i9400 Appears In Benchmark Database, Could This Be The Galaxy S4? [IMAGE]

The specs show a 1.2GHz processor with a Mali-400 GPU, which would be better suited to a device running on an older, less-powered processor like the Exynos 4 Dual of the Galaxy S II, and the WVGA resolution, doesn't correlate with reports of the 1080p display we've already heard about.

This kind of thing has happened in the past, with early benchmarks singing a different tune to the eventual final release, so we'll just have to remain patient and see how this one plays out. As well as the 1080p murmurings, we're also led to believe Samsung wants to lace the S IV with power, utilizing the Exynos 5 Quad chip once it has been manufactured.

It doesn't appear as though Samsung will drop the S IV at any of the early '13 expos - as has been the case in the past, and the consensus seems to be that the Korean company will hold its own launch event akin to last year's showcasing of the S III.

In terms of popularity, few can compete with the Galaxy S series, and it has remained consistently the most popular Android smartphone on the market. Consumers flocked to the S III earlier this year, and whenever the S IV does decide to make an appearance next year, expect the frenzied ensemble of excited Droidsters to surface once more.

We'll keep you updated on any further developments with regards to the next Samsung flagship, so stay tuned to our coverage here at Redmond Pie!
