Everyone likes it when popular, and indeed awesome games get cheaper than their usual prices that they sell for, and it’s safe to say that Grand Theft Auto is one of the most anticipated and best selling franchises there are. So, when Major Nelson says that Grand Theft Auto 5 is on sale, with a massive 50% off its normal price, then we tend to take notice. More details can be found right after the fold.
Taking to his Major Nelson blog to announce the sale, Microsoft’s Larry Hryb shared that for today only – that’s Friday in the U.S. – GTA5 for Xbox 360 will be available with a hefty 50% price reduction. As if that wasn’t awesome enough, an even more impressive 58% reduction of the Need for Speed Rivals price is also in affect.
But wait, there’s a lot more on offer!
If you’ve been on the fence about picking up a copy of Crysis 3, then now is the time to get the credit card out because it’s not often you see a 70% price cut. Other titles like Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Ninja Gaiden 2 and Bastion are also on offer with various, equally impressive, discounts. Remember though, these offers are only valid for Friday and as Major Nelson points out, the sale may not be available everywhere.
The complete list of games that are currently on sale for Xbox 360 are as follows:
- Grant Theft Auto 5 (50% off)
- Need for Speed Rivals (58% off)
- Crysis 3 (70% off)
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (60% off)
- Ninja Gaiden 2 (83% off)
- Bastion (75% off)
Major Nelson also points out that a new set of Xbox 360 titles will go on sale every day through Monday, so it might be worth keeping your eyes peeled if you’re in the mood for a bargain.
And let’s be honest, we’re all in the mood for those. Just make sure you’ve got plenty of free local storage space before you start bargain hunting!
