It isn’t unheard of for a brand or influencer to tweet about something related to Android but actually do it from an iPhone. But there are some times when it’s even more interesting — like when Google itself does it. That’s exactly what happened when Apple was publicizing its new iPads earlier this week, using the Twitter hashtag #TakeNote.

That in itself would have been fine — tweeting the CEO of Apple about #TeamPixel is a big cringe, but so be it. Except as eagle-eyed people soon noticed, that tweet was actually sent from Twitter for iPhone. Not Twitter for Android, then. The tweet has since been deleted with a replacement tweet sent from Twitter for Web, although this being the internet it was already too late.
