With the Cricket World Cup going on right now, there is no shortage of live action to keep up with, but as is always the case when a major sporting tournament like this is running, staying up to speed with what is happening in any of the games at any one time can be difficult. What you need is an unobtrusive app that can take the strain for you.
CricLive is the perfect companion for anyone who has a Mac and cannot make it to each and every live game or if, like us, you just can’t get to any! Costing $0.99 and available to download now from the Mac App Store, the app is about as minimal as can be. Once installed it will automatically start streaming the scores and stats for whatever game is going on at the time. If there’s no game going on then, well, you’ll have to wait. It’s not magic you know!
The feature list is relatively short but that’s a good thing in this case. A mode which switches the app to ‘mini mode’ and the option to hide the dock will be welcome to those who hate clutter, and you can even get updates pushed into Notification Center while also controlling what kind of notifications you get in the first place. Only want to know when a 4 or 6 gets hit? No problem. Also added is the ability to see live updates scores in dock icon. Very neat!
If cricket is your sport and you need an easy way to keep up to date on the scores from games that are happening on the other side of the world then CrickLive is probably going to suit you down to the ground. Download it from the Mac App Store right now – download link embedded below – and you’ll be able to see just how poorly England is doing without ever leaving your desk!
Oh the joys.
If you’re an iOS and Android user, then you would want to download the official Cricket World Cup 2015 app for your device.
