The Galaxy S4 is just a week or two away depending on which carrier you associate yourself with and whereabouts you reside, and the excitement is certainly increasing as the launch dates draw ever nearer. To give prospective owners an idea of what accessories will be available from the get-go, maker Samsung has drawn up a detailed list of all the device’s launch accessories and peripherals, including the Flip Cover, Spare Battery Charging System, and Smart Dock.
Anybody looking to grab the Galaxy S4 is going to be parting with a significant chunk of money. Whether it be up-front for the SIM-free version at several hundred dollars a pop or a monthly fee over the course of two years, the S4 does not come cheap. It stands to reason, then, that owners would want to make the best of their investment they possibly can, and spending those extra few bucks on decent protective clobber, or a charging dock, can make the experience just that little bit better.
The Flip Cover is the most basic, familiar item on the list, and just as many consumers buy the latest Galaxy S as a matter of formality, plenty also opt to wrap their new device in this very stylish yet sturdy protective case. Although, at least at launch, the Galaxy S4 won’t come in as many colors as some would perhaps have liked, the Flip Cover comes in a multitude of hues including Black Mist, White Frost, Light Blue, Pink, Green, Orange and Yellow. At $39.99, it’s reasonably priced, and I’m sure many will pick the Flip Cover up at point of sale.
If you can’t envisage yourself flipping the cover away each time you want to check your device for basic information, you might want to check the S View version of the Flip Cover, which offers a clear letterbox allowing you to see time, date, messages, signal, and other such information at a glance. Although it’s higher in cost at a cent under sixty bucks, it does make a bit more practical sense, even if the bump in price seems a bit excessive.
Also in the offing is the Spare Battery Charging System ($49.99), which will give you a charging stand, wall charger and spare 2,600 mAh battery – essentially double the amount of juice you can carry around with you at any given time. One of the distinct advantages the S4 has over its peers is the ability to remove the battery, and if you really want to take advantage of this fact, the Spare Battery Charging System is certainly one you’ll wish to consider.
If you are considering the Galaxy S4, please check out the below list of accessories which, one would hope, will make the launch:
