Fix ‘Unable To Verify Update iOS 18 Is Temporarily Unavailable’ Error: Here’s How

Here’s how to fix ‘Unable to Verify Update iOS 18 is temporarily unavailable. Try again later.’ error when updating your iPhone via iOS 18 OTA update.

After months of beta testing, Apple has now finally released iOS 18 to the public, and people have been able to download and install it since September 16.

But not everyone has done it successfully, with some experiencing an issue during the update process. Here’s how to go about fixing the issue.

The issue in question causes iPhone owners to receive a message suggesting the iPhone has been unable to verify the iOS 18 software update. The update then will not install and iPhone owners are left to sort the issue out for themselves.

However, the issue is most likely caused by a corrupt iOS 18 download which is why the update cannot be verified.

Thankfully, there is a relatively easy fix to get things back up and running.

  • Within the ReiBoot interface, choose the “Standard Repair” option and proceed by clicking the “Standard Repair” button.

An alternate way to fix this is to follow the steps below:

Step 2: Open your iPhone’s storage options and find the update in the list of installed apps.

Step 3: Tap the update, then tap Delete Update.

Step 4: Attempt the iOS 18 installation from the beginning.

Once this process is complete you can begin to install iOS 18 again and hopefully no further issues will be experienced this time out.

The iOS 18 software update will soon be replaced by iOS 18.1, an update that will bring Apple Intelligence to the masses in October.
