Some units of HTC HD2 were shipped with camera problem in which a pink hue spot was noticed in the center of all the snaps taken from the 5 megapixel autofocus camera on board HTC HD2. HTC first confirmed it as an hardware issue but then later they found out that it was infact a software issue, rather than a hardware one. And now HTC has rolled out a software update which fixes this problem on all the defected handsets.
This update for HTC HD2 delivers clear digital picture quality like never before. Displayed in brilliant vibrant colors on its 4.3 inch screen, HTC HD2 camera will delight you.
Official installation instruction, as stated on HTC’s website are as follows:
Step 1: Make sure you have Microsoft ActiveSync installed on your Windows XP PC or Windows Mobile Device Center on your Windows 7 or Vista PC.
Step 2: Connect and synchronize your device with your PC via Microsoft ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center using the USB cable.
Step 3: Download the update from the link given below.
Step 4: Copy the update, which is an .exe file, to your device. To install the update, tap the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions.
This update is only applicable to ROM version is equal to 1.60.XXX.X, or lower. If you perform a device hard reset, you will need to reinstall the update after the hard reset.
