Looking to fix iOS 18 “Could Not Activate iPhone Activation Error” after updating on iPhone? Here’s what you need to do that works 100% works.
Apple’s iOS 18 is now available for download and that means that a whole lot of people are doing exactly that. But it can also mean that people ar hitting issues, and if your iPhone won’t activate, here’s what you can do to get things back up and running.
Whenever a big new iOS release arrives there are people who begin the update process but find that their iPhone won’t restart properly. For those people there is an array of potential issues with some receiving an error that says Could Not Activate iPhone Activation Error.
The error normally appears after trying to install an update via Finder or iTunes and these are some of the steps you can take to try and get things working again.
Restart Your Router, Model, or Access Point
This issue is usually caused when there is some kind of connection issue, so consider restarting your router to see if that kicks things back into gear. If the issue is a connectivity one, this could get things back up and running.
Wait It Out
If the issue isn’t fixed by restarting your router the issue is likely to be at Apple’s side, possibly due to overloaded servers. If that’s the case, hang fire — things should start working eventually. These kinds of problems normally fix themselves if you give them the chance to.
