Ferrari Is Readying Its First Sports EV But It’ll Come With A Huge Price Tag

Ferrari, the famous Italian carmaker, is getting ready to launch its first sports electric vehicle but while the company is known for making pricey cars, this EV is going to be among the most expensive around.

The new EV will be shown off by the end of the year according to CEO Benedetto Vigna.

That’ll come before the launch of the electric sports car in the fourth quarter of 2025 assuming the expected timeframes all work out the way we’ve been told that they will. But that’s the least interesting part of the vehicle — the most interesting part is the price.

According to a Reuters report, we can expect the Ferrari EV to cost at least $535,000 which is certainly a lot of money indeed, even by Ferrari standards.

The price tag, which doesn’t include features and personal touches that typically add 15-20%, is well above the average sale price of around 350,000 euros, including extras, for a Ferrari in the first quarter of this year, and many rival luxury EVs.

Ferrari is yet to confirm the price of the vehicle and reportedly did not respond to a request for comment on the matter.

All eyes will now be on Ferrari to see what the EV turns out to offer and whether the rumors of such an eyewatering price will actually be accurate. Even if they are, we can’t imagine that the Italian outfit will struggle to shift each and every car it builds.
