Facebook’s CEO, too, keeps going up higher and higher on the list of richest Americans, as The Zuck is now, according to Forbes 400, richer than the Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin.

The news comes from a report published by CNET based on the recently updated Forbes 400 List of Richest Americans.

At 27 years of age, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is now worth $17.5 billion with his position being 14th on the list. This means that he is now wealthier than the two people who found Google in a garage back in September 1998: Larry Page and Sergey Brin, both of whom are worth $16.7 billion and rank at 15th.

From CNET:

But perhaps the biggest movement, at least when looking with an eye for tech moguls, is Zuckerberg's rise to No. 14 on the Forbes list with $17.5 billion. Last year the 27-year-old was at No. 35 on the list at $6.9 billion and the year before he didn't even didn't even qualify as a billionaire. Zuckerberg, this year, also elbowed out Google co-founders Larry Page, 38, and Sergey Brin, 38, who both ranked 15 on the list with net worths of $16.7 billion.

Mark Zuckerberg wasn’t even a billionaire two years ago, and yet, in that short time, he has amassed a whopping $17.5 billion. This value, of course, isn’t purely paper-money locked away in some bank, but the total estimated value of all his declared assets.

William Henry Bill Gates III maintains the lead, with his wealth being estimated at $59 billion. Despite giving billions of dollars away in charity in recent times, the ex-CEO of Microsoft Corporation has actually had his worth increased from $54 billion from Fall last year.
